While for the most part I believe that sentencing for crimes should be more focused on rehabilitation than punishment, I believe that men convicted of rape should be chemically castrated.  These individuals have demonstrated that they cannot be trusted to understand consent and feel entitled to the bodies of others.  By chemically castrating them, we take away one of their primary motivations for such violence.  The ability to have sex with others is a privilege, not a right, and these people have demonstrated that they should not have such a privilege.  By making the castration chemical, we also have the ability to set a duration on the punishment and reverse it if an individual is found to be wrongly convicted at a later date.  I recognize that we are grossly violating the offender's bodily autonomy, but since that is precisely what he did to his victim(s) I see this as a fitting punishment for his crime(s).
