I do support the military and, where warranted, military intervention. I supported Desert Storm when many of my friends did not. In fact, we should have kept going until we deposed Saddam Hussein at that time. If we had connected the end of his regime with actual actions on his part, it would have avoided the mess that tying WMDs and 9/11 caused. Definitive action is almost always better than policy waffling and indecision, and always better than outright lies. Of course, we also need to "win the peace," which we failed to do either after Desert Storm or the Afghanistan invasion (where we let bin Laden get away for so many years) or the invasion of Iraq that had been fatally damaged by U.S. sanctions.
