I consider myself as fiscally conservative and socially moderate. I am adamantly pro-life, which is considered conservative. I fully support the second amendment. I like smaller government. I have been happily married to my opposite-sex spouse for 32 years. However, I do not think the US Constitution should have a clause about traditional marriage. This is not something the federal government needs to police.
Gay marriage / rights / domestic partner themes should be determined by the states, using proper licenses and other regulations needed to determine the status of citizens. I worked for a large corporation and was a named Ally of the LGBTA coalition. If corporations decide to extend benefits to any legitimate partnership, I am in agreement.
